darn blogger and their system errors. anyway...

last saturday, brought fingerless glove. knit through most of the speakers at the conference. my camera was only catching reaction shots and maybe q&a, so i had plenty of free time. finished cuff and thumb gusset, had to stop for lack of waste yarn. sunday i finished index finger, monday i worked on middle finger during our Lottia experiment. tuesday was super-busy, but i finished the middle finger at denny's while waiting for lunch/dinner on wednesday. (wednesdays we tape the school's sports show, gaucho scoreboard, and afterwards we go down to the local comic store for their weekly shipment. the boys buy their comic books, since mine don't get carried by many places, and sometimes i wander into my lys. then there's the video game shop, and then late lunch/early dinner.) got home on wednesday and found out roommate was sick, so we stayed in and watched taped episodes of all my children until our vcr gave out for the evening. i finished the fingerless glove and wove in ends. roommate worked on a scarf for her mom.

now i'm pondering the sleeves for rogue. or the wedding piece. or cleo, which has been on the back burner for a bit. the wedding piece is lace and should probably not become my new traveling project. the sleeves are portable, but the body won't be. cleo's pretty lightweight, and a quick knit. plus it's suddenly warm again here. well it was until this morning. i had almost forgotten this place could be so warm. i'm used to chilly and sunny with cold breezes.

then there's spinning. i'm pondering ordering a spindle for my musk ox/alpaca/silk blend that my boyfriend got me in solvang. the stuff's so soft and precious that i don't want to ruin it or not get the most out of it by using a too heavy spindle. i suppose i'll ask the spindlers for recommendations.

time to make brunch and watch a soap or two... take a shower and head to work. no classes today! just work from 1-8. ruth says i can take a break in there somewhere so i can eat. i'll be glad for that.

I do my thing and you do your thing
I am not in this world to
live up to your expectations,
and you are not in this world to
live up to mine.
You are you
and I am I
and if by chance we find each other,
it's beautiful.
