Sunday, January 09, 2005 ( 2:29 PM ) Jayme yesterday the hives threatened to come back while i was hanging out in ventura (where it wasn't raining too much). i showed them -- took another dose of benadryl and went to bed early. woke up around 7. it was pouring. stopped for a while. then started (of course) when i decided to leave for work. thankfully chris drove. we grabbed breakfast and i learned two things: 1) the intersection of fairview and hollister is flooded between taco bell and the corner that isn't jiffy lube or the fortune teller, and 2) the area around the airport and near goleta slough is very very swollen with water. the kids in the studio are loud sometimes, but are generally nice and share their food with me. i did some office work, and am currently taking a break from my genetics reading. no knitting yet, but all i've brought is clapotis. no movies either. two and a half hours until i can call the police. really. one of the producer/directors called and said i should call for them to escort the students out, in case they haven't struck the set and cleared out by 5. oh and note to me: yarn sale! http://www.bopeepswoolshop.com/ --> http://www.prestostore.com/cgi-bin/storefront.pl?ref=imrtistik&pg=13611 of course, i have no money for yarn. no knit alongs for me until i can finish paying for this quarter of school and then work enough to pay rent and bills. so back to reading and homework for me. with luck, i'll knit a bit before i leave here. have fun playing in the rain! # |
