Monday, December 06, 2004 ( 2:10 PM ) Jayme thanks for the birthday greetings everyone! i'll post pictures when the handpaintedyarn.com order gets here. in the meantime, i used my birthday discount at GAP to buy a new winter coat. by the way, how old do i look?? (for those of you who know what i look like?) my parents' friends ask me where i want to go for college. >_< but, yes, i am old enough to drink, and have been for a while. my license still doesn't look it; there is still the provisional red stripe going across that says that i'll be 21. it's the old white one too, not the yellowish newer version. i'll get a new one next year. in the meantime, it's amusing to have bouncers do a bit of a double take when i get carded. oh and the new knitty! the very tall socks are great; i want to make them and stay warm while i work at 0730. (it was freezing this morning while waiting for the bus!) i want to rip out my rogue (working on the pocket!) and make mariah because i love the sleeves. at 2230 yards, it will have to be in woolease for me to afford it; that or more plymouth galway from woolneedlework. i'm thinking of using my peace fleece for the leftovers vest, since i don't know if i have enough for a sweater. i have a stash of mission falls superwash in thyme (supposed to be for my second rogue, the blue one is my practice one) that i was thinking of using for the hourglass sweater... ooh, so many possible projects! and i need to make pasha for a penguin-obsessed friend. back to studying! knitting group or pilates? i only really have time for one, since i've got two finals tomorrow. # |
