      ( 11:21 PM ) Jayme
got out of work at 19:20 (we use military time there). would have blogged from there, but i was good and read some of plato's the symposium. to make up for it, i give you this:

how to make my bag (click for close ups):

take one ounce of white coopworth roving, fold it in half, then fold it back and forth to fit into whatever microwavable container you're using. make a small batch of cherry, orange and lemon kool-aid (one packet and a small amount of water). pour the lemon kool-aid on one side of the container, the orange in the middle, then the red on the other side. cover container, leaving a corner uncovered to let steam escape. microwave 1.5-2 minutes at a time, until the water is mostly clear. let cool. squeeze out water and hang to dry:

once dry, spin with a medium weight spindle. i used a 36g midi bosworth in purpleheart:

take the singles and andean ply them:

use yarn to knit up a small "treasure bag." mine was based on the pattern in the twisted sisters sock workbook.

I do my thing and you do your thing
I am not in this world to
live up to your expectations,
and you are not in this world to
live up to mine.
You are you
and I am I
and if by chance we find each other,
it's beautiful.
