      ( 1:22 PM ) Jayme
poor neglected blog!

posting from work because it's very slow... i think the last i mentioned of work was that i go and film classes and knit and spin when i'm not manipulating the camera. well i still do that, but i also work in our office now, and spin and knit during the downtime.

i'm the only one in here right now, so i'm going to do a little bloggy catch-up. my last post was silly, and i don't really remember much of what i've written before that, but i suppose i will just start anew.

my name is jayme. i'm 23 years old and going to school at the University of California, Santa Barbara. i plan to leave here with a degree in zoology. i knit, spin, crochet, cross stitch, and sew. these days i primarily knit and spin. i own 5 spindles and 1 folding lendrum spinning wheel. i spin when i can, but as a poor working college student, i buy a little when i can, trying as many different things as i can get my hands on. on the needles currently: a wedding shawl/throw/tablecloth/multi-purpose lace piece for a friend, a fingerless glove made with my wheelspun yarn to complete the pair promised to my roommate, and a sleeve for Rogue that i'm finally starting. stash and projects are small and few.

today i'm working on the fingerless glove. if i'm not finished with it soon, it's coming with me to the conference i'm taping on saturday.

sent out my secret knitting pal gift today. i hope she enjoys it. today is a full day, even if it's not too busy in the office. took the bus at 730, class from 8-930, errands from 930-1100, went to my TA's chem drop in hours from 11-1215, lunch from 1215-1245, work from 1245-5, phycology lab from 5-8 and then home! to write a lab report for chem and a paper for phycology. and to clean. roomie and her mom are going to go see yo-yo ma on saturday and they don't need to see all my stuff.

back to work!

I do my thing and you do your thing
I am not in this world to
live up to your expectations,
and you are not in this world to
live up to mine.
You are you
and I am I
and if by chance we find each other,
it's beautiful.
