Experiments in Tangible Geometry... & other things

      ( 12:23 AM ) Jayme
i ran out of yarn! well, out of yarn that i brought, yeah... i thought that 1 rogue sleeve would be about 1 skein of galway, but apparently, i'm a bit off. i got to start the sleeve cap shaping when i ran out. been knitting in cars all week, and since the sleeve is paused, i cast on for toe up socks in regia jacquard #5270 (blues and purples). socks seem to impress people, even they are just simple tubes. started them yesterday on the way to coldstone's. worked on them at coldstones. worked on them today in the car, and through errands, bit of knitting here and there.

i think my sock knitting is magic. when we're standing in line at rancho el nopal tonight, i pull out the knitting and within two rounds, we're being seated. the live band was good. while waiting for food, i pulled the sock out again, and after two stitches, our dinner showed up. (crispy shrimp tacos -- yum!)

now i've got three inches of knitting and it's making those narrow stripes as seen in pictures. makes me feel like i'm doing it right.

might as well get some sleep. more road tripping-ish tomorrow.

I do my thing and you do your thing
I am not in this world to
live up to your expectations,
and you are not in this world to
live up to mine.
You are you
and I am I
and if by chance we find each other,
it's beautiful.
