Experiments in Tangible Geometry... & other things
Wednesday, February 05, 2003 ( 12:49 AM ) Jayme beginning of heck week for me at school -- every day is something else, if not multiple things. *sigh* signed up for the Fuzzy Feet Felt Along. got needles today. they're enormous! well, not as 10.5s, but as really really long dpns!! i think they're as long as my 10.5 metal straights. geez. but this will be fun. i've got the brown sheep handpaint originals sitting in my room and i think bright peacock will be a welcome sight on my feet with enough left over for a hat or scarf. not sure if it will felt as well since it's 70/30 mohair/merino and lamb's pride is 85/15 wool/mohair, but hey, i can try. otherwise, i'll try using my kool-aid dyed balls of fisherman's wool, possibly in pink and purple. took on two hat projects for dear friends. one easy peasy ribbed watchcap in multicolored merino (blues and greens -- so pretty!) for my dragon loving friend and an earflap hat (ch'ullo?) in a llama motif with alpaca yarn for niko-sama (whose last name is llamas :) on top of that are my cherry hill supersocks, my anny blatt cotton tank, and a cotton bikini top. as for spinning, i'm trying a little bit of almost everything i can get my hands on... i should look through all my 1 oz rovings to keep track of what i've got and how much i like it... i've finished my ounce of wensleydale (not too bad) and my ounce of columbia/corriedale (which i'm proud of). pictures coming soon, perhaps this weekend i can borrow a digital cam or use my scanner to add pics to my picturetrail album (found it, kinda ^^;) knitting album and spinning album both in need of updates. it's late, and i'm sick again... so i'm going to head to bed... good night all! #
