      ( 2:00 PM ) Jayme
finally back to school to meet up with the fantastic fiber bus and my part of the tour!

maybe i chose a better part of the winter so far for this, now that the storms have stopped. it's warm and sunny, with slight breeze. today we'll start on state street and just drive down. first is bb's knits, bright and open, with yarns hanging from the walls and overflowing from baskets in multitudes of colors and textures. there's a large table near the front for anyone to sit and knit at, while i poke around all the cubby holes filled with yarn. next stop is in stitches, just off of state street, this store is filled with yarn and friendly people. there are two tables to gather at and a wall with pictures of finish objects. there's a lot to look at here, so take your time... and don't neglect the other room. the colinette hangs in a corner and if you follow the aisles you'll find the jo sharp.

after building up an appetite, we'll head over to pascucci for yummy italian food. while waiting, we can sit on plush couches and knit or snack on their garlic bread. i think i'll have the lasagna with meat sauce. and to digest, we'll walk along stern's wharf and the beaches, maybe taking a trip to the santa barbara zoo.

tomorrow, we'll head slightly north to solvang for fun, fiber and delicious baked goods.

I do my thing and you do your thing
I am not in this world to
live up to your expectations,
and you are not in this world to
live up to mine.
You are you
and I am I
and if by chance we find each other,
it's beautiful.
